Hello! My name is Libby - a former Cornwall Council Registrar who decided to turn her love of weddings into her dream job. Independent Wedding Celebrant!
Marry Us, Libby is my solo venture as a Celebrant - bringing choices, quality, professionalism and more love and laughter to your ceremony than your Great Aunty Judith can shake her stick at!
Why ‘I Do’ Weddings:
After a few muddled years toiling away behind a computer, roll on a baby, a pandemic (and now another baby) me and my husband secured our retirement nest a wee bit early, and made our escape to the beautiful Cornwall. Whilst I still have a soft-spot for coding - I get such a buzz from creative writing, connecting with people and public speaking - and by luck, I found a job conducting and registering weddings that truly clicked in my soul.
250+ ceremonies later, I felt that going solo with Marry Us, Libby - was a natural step forward for me, to give couples the exceptional wedding ceremony, whopping or weeny, that they deserve. I really understand the trust that is placed upon the person conducting your ceremony, and I take that role extremely seriously!
From planning your ceremony to perfecting your day, I take pride in working alongside you to create a timeless ceremony, that is brimming with energy and love. Helping you write your vows, interweaving your “couple story” into the ceremony or incorporating some unique marriage rituals: I know what elements make a beautiful and successful ceremony and I want to work with you to achieve it.
You may be leaning towards a more classic, traditional ceremony; a grandiose gathering; a sweet and soulful elopement; or perhaps a ceremony in your own backgarden. You name it - I’m there for it.
